Steve C. Mothersell, Sr. founded SCM Homes of California in 1983 and has since grown the company into one of the leading homebuilding and development firms in the Central Valley. A native of Modesto, California, Mothersell has a strong connection and commitment to the area, its families, and communities.
A graduate of Downey High School and Utah State University, Mothersell is passionate about homebuilding and land development. “I am very proud of the fact our company has provided homes for thousands of families throughout the Central Valley,” Mothersell said. “Over the years it has certainly been a challenging industry, but it is all worth it when I meet a family who has just purchased their first home.”
